Born in Kumamoto in 1979. Physician, medical doctor, and author. After serving as assistant professor of cardiology at the University of Tokyo Hospital and director of Karuizawa Hospital (2022-2024), he is currently a specially appointed professor at Keio University's System Design and Management (SDM) in 2024. He also serves as visiting professor at Tohoku University of Art and Design (artistic director of Yamagata Biennale 2020, 2022, 2024) and visiting professor at Musashino University's Faculty of Well-Being. His books include "Something that Awakens Life," "Life is Life's Life" (Anonymous Studio), "A Place for Life" (Fusosha), "Medicine of Words" (Daiwa Shobo), and "Medicine of the Mountains" (Life Science Publishing).
