After studying at Keio University’s Faculty of Policy Management and University of Tokyo’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Yuki pursued doctoral studies at the University of Oxford where she obtained her PhD in Anthropology in 2009, conducting research on multicultural education. Yuki’s current research is on contemplative education; she creates spaces for contemplative learning while reflecting on the intersubjective learning process, connecting with communities in Japan and abroad. Since 2019, she has been involved in bringing the compassion-based program Social Emotional and Ethical Learning to Japan.
